 “PACIFIC ESCAPE” - 8 days / 7 nights - Ideal all year round
An ideal program to get to know the incredible waves of the Pacific Ocean on a short period of time. On this region, the swells are very consistent, so you will surely have waves during anytime of the year. A good surfing level is adequate for Playa Hermosa but there are several easy spots for beginners around the area. This package also includes an unforgettable Canopy Tour in Hermosa to get to know a little of the amazing fauna and flora of this part of the country. If you do not have a lot of time but you really want to know Costa Rica and surf the Pacific, this is your ideal program.
“FAMOUS CENTRAL PACIFIC” - 10 days / 9 nights - Ideal all year round
An ideal program for those who do not want to wait for the swells. On this region, the swells are very consistent, so you will surely have waves during anytime of the year. A good surfing level is adequate for Playa Hermosa but there are several easy spots for beginners around the area. Two tours are included, one for the extreme sports lovers and another for nature lovers. A unique experience in the Canopy Tour and an option between either an expedition to the National Wildlife Refuge Barú (incredible example of flora and fauna of the tropical humid forests) or to the Marino Ballena National Park to see the gigantic Humpback whales (depending on the time of the year). If what you want is a lot of surfing and short drives, this is your ideal program.
“BELLA GUANACASTE” - 10 days / 9 nights - Ideal all year round
An intense program to get to know the incredible and perfect waves of the Guanacaste region. Here, during the summer months (December to March), the strong offshore winds blow all day long. Two incredible excursions included in the package: a surf trip to Witche´s Rock and Ollie´s Point and a nature excursion to discover the amazing waterfalls in Montezuma. If you are looking for different surf spots and wave perfection, this is your program.
“SOUTH EXTREME” - 10 days / 9 nights -Ideal through April to October
For the real adventurous, nature lovers and wave-perfection seekers, this is the ideal program. We take you to the most remote area of Costa Rica, filled with wildlife and surf spots where the only crowd you can encounter are dolphins or turtles. In this region you will surely see fauna and flora, which you have never seen before. Apart from that, you can surf the second longest left in the world in Pavones! In Matapalo, the remotest area this program will take you, you can chose from one of the excursions included in the package or you can just relax in your nature-surrounded bungalow and receive a comforting therapeutic massage. If you are looking for not only perfect waves but also a unique encounter with nature, this is your program!
“FROM COAST TO COAST” -15 days / 14 nights - Ideal all year round
A unique program that will take you to see all the contrasts of this varied country: different waves, extreme landscapes, contrasting climates, fauna and flora with thousands of years apart. In this complete program you will be able to get to know all the variety of attractions that Costa Rica has to offer. Day 1 Arrival to San José
Welcome to Costa Rica! Pick up or private transfer from the Juan Santamaría International Airport. Short drive to Playa Hermosa (2 hours from the airport). We will drive over the Tárcoles River bridge where we will take a walk to see the gigantic crocodiles on its shores. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacifico or similar. Terrazas del Pacífico
Day 2 Exploring Playa Hermosa
After a good surfing session and with some luck an incredible barrel, what else can you ask than a delicious breakfast at the restaurant just in front of the break? Surf sessions all day long, you just need to peek out your bedroom window to see how the waves are. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 3 Canopy Tour Chiclet Tree (2 to 3 hours)
Early departure for the first canopy tour of the day, which is the perfect time to spot wildlife: capuchin monkeys, sloths, toucans, scarlet-macaws and, with some luck, even a feline. The canopy tour consists of a hike through the forest canopy, sliding through cables that are connected between them by several platforms build on the treetops. This tour takes around 2 to 3 hours so once back at the hotel, there is plenty of time for some extra surfing sessions. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 4 Departure to Playa Dominical
After breakfast and a good surfing session, departure to Playa Dominical. Arrival in time for a good surf session before sunset. Night at hotel Diuwak or similar. www.diuwak.com
Day 5 Surfing Day at Dominical
Breakfast included, surfing sessions all day long. Night at hotel Diuwak.
Day 6 Return to Playa Hermosa
Departure to Playa Hermosa after breakfast and a good surf session. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico or similar.
Day 7 Surfing Day in Hermosa and Shopping in Jacó
Same wonderful routine: surfing, barrels and an excellent breakfast in front of the break. Short visit to Jacó to buy some local souvenirs and do some shopping. Back to the hotel for more surfing. Happy Hour & Live Music at the Backyard Bar in Playa Hermosa. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 8 Departure to San José
In this last day, there is still time for a good surfing session and the unforgettable breakfast. After that, departure to San José and drop off at the Juan Santamaría Airport for your flight back home.

Day 1 Arrival to San José

Day 4 In Search of Spots to the North or South of Playa Hermosa
After breakfast, departure either to the north or to the south of Hermosa Beach, depending on the surfing conditions of the day. Opportunity to surf spots like Bejiuco, Esterillos, Playa Escondida, or Boca Barranca. Return and night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 5 Departure to Playa Dominical
After breakfast and a good surfing session, departure to Playa Dominical. Arrival in time for a good surfing session before sunset. Night at hotel Diuwak or similar. www.diuwak.com
Day 6 Surfing Day at Dominical
Breakfast included, surfing sessions all day long. Night at hotel Diuwak.
Day 7 Excursion to the National Wildlife Refuge Barú or to the Marino Ballena National Park
Early departure to one of the following options of excursion:
National Wildlife Refuge Barú (half day)
This refuge is a unique example of tropical forests of this region. It consists of a hike through the exotic mangroves that exist in the area. A professional guide will accompany this excursion and will take you through the most remote areas of this refuge filled with natural wildlife: pumas, ocelots, tayras and more than 500 species of birds.
Marino Ballena National Park (half day)
The whales can be seen during two seasons: from December to April and from July to October. Several species of cetaceous concentrate on this park: the Pacific Humpback whale, the Bryde´s whale, the Pilot whale and sometimes even the False-killer whale. During the time when whales are not around, you can always see several species of dolphins like the Spotted dolphin, the Bottlenose dolphin and the Spinner Dolphin. A professional guide will accompany this excursion. This excursion has an additional price. Return to Playa Dominical. Night at hotel Diuwak.
Day 8 Return to Playa Hermosa
Departure to Playa Hermosa after breakfast and a good surf session. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico or similar.
Day 9 Surfing Day in Hermosa and Shopping in Jacó

Day 2 Departure to Guanacaste
After breakfast, departure to Guanacaste. We will drive through the bridge "Puente de la Amistad" overlooking the Rio Tempisque, which is famous for its high concentration of birds, ideal for birdwatching. Arrival in time for a late afternoon session to see the sunset. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas or similar. www.cabinaslasolas.co.cr
Day 3 Search of Surf Spots to the North of Avellanas
After the morning session in front of the hotel and an incredible breakfast, departure in search of more waves to the north: Playa Grande, Langosta or Little Hawai, you just need to chose the point that you like the most! Arrival at the hotel after the last surf session of the day. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas.
Day 4 Boat Surf Trip to Witche´s Rock and Ollie´s Point (full day)
Departure at dawn to Playas del Coco. 35-minute boat trip to Witche´s Rock. Surf session in one of the best beach breaks of the country, where the offshore winds are incessant. Picnic lunch at the boat. The tour continues to Ollie´s Point, a perfect long right. Return to Playas del Coco at the end of the day. Return and night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas.
Day 5 Search of Surf Spots to the South of Avellanas
After the morning surf session in front of the hotel and an incredible breakfast, departure in search of more waves but this time to the south: Playa Negra (without a doubt one of the best right point breaks in Guanacaste, if not of Costa Rica), Junquiall or Marbella. Arrival at the hotel after the last surf session of the day. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas.
Day 6 Departure to Santa Teresa
After breakfast, departure to Playa Santa Teresa in the Nicoya Peninsula. Arrival in time for a good surf session. Night at the Esencia Hotel & Villas or similar. www.esenciahotel.com
Day 7 Exploring Santa Teresa
Get used to a marvelous breakfast and several surf sessions at this beach break where the green of nature seems to fall right into the ocean. Night at Esencia Hotel & Villas.
Day 8 Tour to the Montezuma Waterfalls (full day)
After breakfast and an early surf session, departure to Montezuma. Tour to see the incredible waterfalls in the area. You can either take a walk on the beach to reach a waterfall that drops right into the sea, or hike through the forest and see the incredible cascades. Both tours are surely unforgettable. Back to Santa Teresa in the afternoon in time for the last surf session of the day, after this relaxing and unique day. Night at Esencia Hotel & Villas.
Day 9 Search of other Surf Spots in the Area
After breakfast, departure in search of different surf spots in the area depending on the swell, wind, tides and personal likings. Points like Sunset Reef, La Lora or Playa Manzanillo. Night at Esencia Hotel & Villas
Day 10 Departure to San José
After breakfast and a last surf session, departure to San José. Drop off at the Juan Santamaría Airport for your flight back home.

Day 2 Departure to Pavones
After breakfast, departure to Pavones. 5 to 6-hour drive and possibily arrive in time for a surf session before sunset. Night and dinner at hotel Tiskita Lodge or similar. www.tiskita-lodge.co.cr
Day 3 Surfing Day at Pavones
After breakfast, short drive to Pavones to begin one of the most incredible surf experiences of your life. It is impossible to describe the feeling of riding the second longest wave in the world; you can only know when you try it... Lunch, dinner and night at hotel Tiskita Lodge.
Day 4 Departure to Playa Matapalo
After breakfast, departure to the other side of the Golfo Dulce on the Osa Peninsula. Arrival to one of the most remote areas of Costa Rica, where nature is still intact and where the word "crowd" does not exist. You will maybe ot some turtles or dolphins dropping in on your wave. Surf session. Night and dinner at Encanta La Vida Lodge or similar. www.encantalavida.com
Day 5 Surfing Day at Matapalo
After breakfast, short walk for the perfect surfing day. Three different surf spots for any liking: Matapalo, Backwash and Pan Dulce, each one with its different characteristics and for any surfing level. The impressive natural beauty of this region will make this experience unforgettable. Lunch, dinner and night at Encanta La Vida Lodge.
Day 6 Excursion Day
On this day you can chose from one of the following excursions:
-> Waterfall Rappelling (3 to 4 hours)
Hike through the jungle with an experienced biologist and learn about the natural history of the area before you experience the awesome adventure of rappelling down the waterfalls. You will be given a class to learn the basics of rappelling and then rappel down a small waterfall before the final adventure of descending the mighty 100 feet King Louis waterfall. Be prepared to get wet. Note: waterfall is dry in the dry season, but still and adventure.
-> Kayaking (3 to 4 hours)
This guided tour takes you from Backwash Bay to the arch on the cape of the Osa Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Golfo Dulce. Enjoy sites such as pristine beaches backed by emerald green jungle and the magnificent sunrise coming over the eastern mountains from across the gulf. See animals such as scarlet-macaws, pelicans, frigate birds, sea turtles and perhaps even some dolphins or whales.
-> Horseback Riding (3 hours)
Enjoy the rainforest and beautiful beaches of Cabo Matapalo on horseback. Set out with an experienced guide who will point out monkeys, birds, and sloths as you leisurely stroll along or enjoy the rush of galloping along the pristine tropical beaches. This tour can be taken early morning or afternoon.
-> Therapeutic Massage (1 hour)
Relax in the privacy of your cabina with a therapeutic massage given by the hotel´s professional masseuse. She is certified in Deep Tissue, Reiki, Swedish, Pressure and numerous other massage techniques.
Lunch, dinner and night at Encanta La Vida Lodge.
Day 7 Return to Pavones
After breakfast, departure back to Pavones. In order for you to really enjoy this unique wave, known worldtake for its lenghh and perfection, we will have some more surf sessions. Dinner and night at hotel Tiskita Lodge or similar.
Day 8 Last day of surf in Pavones
After breakfast, full day of surfing so you can go back home with your belly full. Lunch, dinner and night at hotel Tiskita Lodge.
Day 9 Departure to San José
After a last surf session and a good breakfast, departure to San José through the Inter-American highway and crossing the highest peak of Costa Rica, the "Cerro de La Muerte" with 11,322 or 3,451 m high where occasionally the famous quetzal bird can be spotted. Night at hotel Hampton Inn & Suites or similar.
Day 10 Tour of San Jose and flight Home
After breakfast, departure to the city center to do some tourim and souvenir shopping. Back to the hotel. Drop off at the Juan Santamaría Airport for your flight back home.

Day 3 Surfing Day at Pavones
After breakfast, short drive to Pavones to begin one of the most incredible surf experiences of your life. It is impossible to describe the feeling of riding the second longest wave in the world; you can only know when you try it... Lunch, dinner and night at hotel Tiskita Lodge.
Day 4 Boat Surf Trip to Playa Matapalo (full day)
Departure at sunrise to catch the private boat to Playa Matapalo. All day surfing on these three different surf spots: Matapalo, Backwash and Pan Dulce, each one with its different characteristics and for any surfing level. Picnic lunch at the boat. Back to Pavones before nightfall. Dinner and night at Tiskita Lodge.
Day 5 Departure to the Caribbean Beaches
After breakfast, departure to the Caribbean. Drive through the dthe Inter-American highway and crossing the highest peak of Costa Rica, the "Cerro de La Muerte" with 11,322 or 3,451 m high where occasionally the famous quetzal bird can be spotted. Night at hotel Shawandha Lodge in Puerto Viejo or similar. www.shawandhalodge.com
Day 6 Surfing Day at Salsa Brava and other Surf Spots in the Area
Breakfast at the hotel and short drive to Salsa Brava point. The uniqueness of this wave is its high level of perfection. The coral reef bottoms form lefts and rights with perfect hollow barrels. This wave is only for medium to high level of surfing. For an easier surfing there are several beach and point breaks in the area. Night at hotel Shawandha Lodge.
Day 7 Tour to Cahuita National Park (half or full day)
After breakfast, early departure to Cahuita National Park. This park is located on the beach between tropical forests, deserted white-sand beaches and reef corals. The beauty of this site is rare and the variety of fauna that you can spot without even leaving the beaches is impressive. Capuchin and howler monkeys, coatis, iguanas, raccoons, agoutis, anteaters and tattoos, as well as an enormous variety of birds. Return to Puerto Viejo for an afternoon surf session. Night at hotel Shawandha Lodge.
Day 8 Departure to Playas Del Coco
After breakfast, departure to Guanacaste, Playas del Coco. During this trip you will easily see the climate and geographic differences between the Caribbean coast, the mountains in the north and the Guanacaste plains. Arrival to Playas del Coco in the late afternoon. Night at Hotel Nacazcol or similar. www.nacazcol.com
Day 9 Boat Surf Trip to Witche´s Rock and Ollies Point (full day)
Departure at dawn to catch the private boat to Witche´s Rock and Ollie´s Point. 35-minute boat trip to Witche´s Rock. Surf session in one of the best beach breaks of the country, where the offshore winds are incessant. Picnic lunch at the boat. The tour continues to Ollie´s Point, a perfect long right. Return to Playas del Coco at the end of the day. 1-hour drive to the hotel in Playa Avellanas. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas or similar. www.cabinaslasolas.co.cr
Day 10 Search of Surf Spots to the North of Avellanas
After the morning session in front of the hotel and an incredible breakfast, departure in search of more waves: Playa Grande, Langosta or Little Hawai, you just need to chose the point that you like the most! Arrival at the hotel after the last surf session of the day. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas.
Day 11 Search of Surf Spots to the South of Avellanas
After the moring surf session in front of the hotel and an incredible breakfast, departure in search of more waves but this time to the south: Playa Negra (without a doubt one of the best right point breaks in Guanacaste, if not of Costa Rica), Junquiall or Marbella. Arrival at the hotel after the last surf session of the day. Night at hotel Cabinas Las Olas.
Day 12 Departure to Playa Hermosa, Central Pacific Coast
After breakfast departure to Playa Hermosa. We will drive do pequeno almoço, saída para Playa Hermosa. We will drive through the "Puente de la Amistad" overlooking the Rio Tempisque, which is famous for its high concentration of birds, ideal for birdwatching. We will also drive avoer the Tárcoles River where we will take a walk to see the gigantic crocodiles on its shores. Arrival in Playa Hermosa maybe in time for a surf session before sunset. Day 13 Exploring Playa Hermosa
After a good surfing session and with some luck an incredible barrel, what else can you ask than a delicious breakfast at the restaurant just in front of the break? Surf sessions all day long, you just need to peek out your bedroom window to see how the waves are. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 14 Canopy Tours Chiclet Tree (2 to 3 hours)
Early departure for the first canopy tour of the day, which is the perfect time to spot wildlife: capuchin monkeys, sloths, toucans, scarlet-macaws and, with some luck, even a feline. The canopy tour consists of a hike through the canopy, sliding through cables that are connected between them by several platforms build on the treetops. This tour takes around 2 to 3 hours so once back at the hotel, there is plenty of time sor some extra surfing sessions. Night at hotel Terraza del Pacífico.
Day 15 Departure to San José
In this last day, there is still time for a good surfing session and the unforgettable breakfast. After that, departure to San José and drop off at the Juan Santamaría Airport for your flight back home.
